Why one clip is rarely the whole scene
Five seconds holds one look, one gesture and one sound. Thirty seconds can hold a short sequence, but only if the action is slow enough. Most scenes sit between those two, and the reliable way to reach them is a chain of clips, not one long prompt asking for everything.
Think of each clip as a link. The first link sets the person, the outfit, the room and the light. Every later link inherits them from a reference photo, so the model is not guessing the look again. The continuity you see on screen is the continuity you built into the references, and nothing more.

Most chains fail at the join, not in the first clip.
- Describing the whole story in one prompt instead of one link per clip.
- Changing the outfit, hair or room between links without a reference that shows the change.
- Ending a clip mid-turn, so the next link starts from a blurred frame.
- Using a different camera height in each link, which reads as a cut, not a continuation.
- Skipping the five-second test in Medium 480p before paying for a longer link.
- Uploading a last frame taken from motion blur: pick a still moment instead.

What should the second link use as its reference?

Why does the face change between links?
Usually the reference is weak or the prompt describes the face differently. Reuse the same photo and write “keep the face unchanged”. There is no guarantee, so check each join.
Which quality should a chain use?
Medium 480p to test each join, then High 720p for the final links. Ultra High 1080p suits linked clips with fine fabric or small detail.
